STARSTYLING
For the very first time the Berlin based brand „Starstyling“, having been nationally and internationally successful for some years now, is doing a catwalk show; one reason more to be curious and very excited about their 2010 Spring/Summer collection!
Hokus Fokus explores with paradox the theme of Modules:
Using attachable accessories to transform the appearance and function of an outfit, matt fabrics flirt with shiny ones, playfulness joins functionalism and simplistic cuts are matched with meticulous techniques. Outfits can be assembled and disassembled in a matter of seconds. Time is a factor. Whenever desired, a sporty dress is quickly pimped into an elegant ensemble.
Elegance is of course an extra-statement: whoever already knows “Starstyling” comprehends the dose of humour involved in their work.
One of the principal ingredients proposed in the collection are colourful Velcro strips, serving as the decorative basis to clothes which can rapidly carry accessories such as modular pockets, 3-dimensional Velcro structures, fabric-made brooches, shoulder pads and other delicacies.
In one sentence: Decorative becomes functional becomes decorative becomes nice.
Hokus Fokus.
