DEANOOR
Deanoor was founded 1986 in Malaysia by Datin Noor Fatimah, the designer and owner. She began her career as a fabric designer catering to her exclusive clientele which includes royalties and the elite society. What began as a small leisure business grew into success story. She brought her hand painted fabrics to new heights by creating masterpieces and provided big names in the European fashion industry with unique hand painted fabrics by using 100% Italian silk as her raw material.
It was in 2008 that she found the technology to reproduce her masterpieces which combines Eastern traditions with modern technology from the West, hence D’Art of Deanoor Fabric is born: Art beautifully painted on Deanoor’s trademark luxurious fabric. Her fabric art is versatile and can be adapted into many things which include clothing, accessories and soft furnishing.
Deanoor’s philosophy is fundamentally based on the blending of beauty and nature using butterfly in its logo to celebrate the beauty of life, Mother Nature as well as the splendour and kaleidoscope of colours and an array of patterns. Deanoor’s luxurious hand painted fabrics and fashions break the boundaries of traditional art. It combines traditional hand-drawn batik craftsmanship and fine fabrics with contemporary designs and silhouette. Each piece is transformed into stunning tapestries and holds a story within itself that embodies the soul behind the brand.
The beauty of Deanoor’s clothing lies in the fabric itself. The silhouette of the clothes are kept classic to flaunt the stunning fabrics. Deanoor’s use of the bias cut accentuates the natural female form in which the garments appear to float freely around the body. The fabrics also draped beautifully to match the curves of a woman’s body and echo its fluidity of motion which integrates comfort and movement into our designs.
